Weekend in the Desert

This past weekend, AV and I got to spend it out in the desert in Palm Springs. We stayed at a little hotel called The Stardust, perfect if you're looking for a quiet, private and super-friendly environment with a retro vibe. We walked around to explore the city, discovering awesomely designed patterns and architecture, different cacti, and sketchy back alleys that we could have done without.

We went to three pool parties, on three different days, at three different hotels, necessary for the three-digit desert heat. We hydrated, got really dehydrated, and ate a lot of really. good. food. My mouth is still watering thinking about the Seafood Risotto from Shanghai Red’s Oyster Bar. This place was so good we decided to eat there two nights in a row!

I got a pic with Toro y Moi, aka Les Sins, aka Chaz I-only-have-time-for-one-quick-selfie Bundick and made a new Australian friend, Justine the travel agent! How awesome is it that she gets to travel for work?! Good stuff. Another favorite part of the trip was chillin in the hammocks. It's seriously one of the best ways to relax. I can't wait to have my own one day :)

We ended the trip with a last-minute skate shoot before getting our last dinner and heading back home. We were already so tired from the whole weekend but golden hour was upon us, so how could we resist? It was a little bit challenging but ended up being really fun getting to shoot Adam skating :)

This was a great trip. I love the desert! If you have any suggestions for fun things to do out here, let me know! I hope to plan at least one more desert trip this summer. Joshua Tree anyone?
